Pivot Point

The impetus of my pivotal moment to focus on an expansive fine art photography project (3 years in the making), was thrust upon me when I learned of the sudden and tragic death of my oldest brother through suicide in 2019. I struggled with pamphlets that detailed a checklist of the grief process and I quickly learned that the loss and recovery journey is far from linear. I have been a professional portrait photographer for years but found a cathartic release of sharing my journey through visual imagery that I hope will help heal others that are going through a crisis of their own.

A portion of the proceeds of prints and licensing rights will be donated to mental health agencies and promotion of the new national suicide & crisis lifeline number of 988.
